I've been using the MP3 downloader on Linux for ages but decided to just download direct to the phone as Amazon had a application for that.

I installed it but couldn't get it working, regardless of locale selected I couldn't get the UK store, French, Italian, US and german were not a problem, quite annoying, why should English on my EMEA phone default to US is beyond me

Dropped Amazon an email yesterday to ask for a solution and was quite impressed to find that their tech support called me at home today to help resolve the issue, with so many big Internet companies defaulting to bare minimum support and call centres that can't speak bloody English it was quite refreshing to be able to talk to someone who actually understands and aslo one that doesn't expect you to hang on the phone line for hours for support, not bad for an Internet based company.

So anyway , have a little tip if like me you have a problem using the MP3 store or something else due to locale because it defaults to the wrong country, just copied his email to me, I found an application and created a new locale for uk on my phone.



Course with my latest download, I've run out of memory on my device so I shall be shopping for a new SD card, do I go for 16 or 32 Gb, or just wipe some of the stuff off I don't listen too, probably the latter being a tight arse
