Post Nintendo 3DS
Nintendo launched this at E3 yesterday and from what I've read it sounds pretty promising, adds a good level of depth to games it would seem, need to get a look at it to see how it works, sounds great and doesn't need stupid glasses, course does that mean you won't get the other 3d experience of stiff flying over your head or does it still work, seems the article below mentions crosstalk issues which are what the shutter method experience to so its obviously similar, I'm quite intrigued.

Course my Nintendo consoles since SNES have barely provided me with with much of anything I want to play, will this be different now it has more power, the E3 advertising showing swarms of women with them suggest not. A few titles like MGS, Batman, Assassin creed, saints row etc suggest it might be OK though, most are pegging it as better graphically than the Wii but then I'd say the PSP already manages that  ;) things do tend to look nicer on the smaller screen when low res due to pixel size.

I think it might use a lenticular screen to display 2 images slightly shifted, 1 for each eye. This would result in a 3D experience but only when looking straight on I believe.

Does sound quite good though.

The 3DS has got me quiet excited but this is due more to the games line up than anything else. But then I have owned at one time or another every Nintendo hand-held they produced.

3DS is allowing game installs too, handheld gaming as it should be no carrying carts etc.

Course dodgy pirates already had that facility.

Sounds like its 3d works but as Hempy mentioned only straight on and if you are completely still, probably not ideal for a portable device, particularly for someone like me who can't keeps still whilst gaming.
