Good game, reckon we should try and get on Sunday night, Rich if you want to join us pick it up

http://www.gamestracker.com/buy-borderl ... es-ps3.htm

Less than 20quid, see if you can get it and level up (17ish) by Sunday.

Thought the cross game text chat worked quite well really, for the initial issues.

It did. It was my mistake in the end, I thought that once it was paired my headset would connect automatically, but it didn't. Still, once it was up and running I thought it was fantastic 8) .

Later on you will find class mods that provide abilities to you choosen character but some also come with team based abilities to like ammo and health regen, improved accuracy, etc.

Also you can pick up artefacts that add elemental effects to your class ability. For example last night I picked up a fire based artefact when I killed one of the large fire based Skags so my turret can now set enemies on fire. Which is cool.

I think a sniper or another siren to back up Sandy would be a good 4th team member. I cannot see how Brick would be of much use other than a damage magnet.

I dunno in last nights game a beserker could have went in, gone nuts and done some damages drawning the enemy close to each other whilst we attacked from a far, me sneaking behind in Phase getting out a big shotgun and you and Scott from the front.

I'm still available, I know Stacey is up for it and Rich has just bought it so it sounds like a party tonight, hopefully he finds time to level up a bit before tonight or he'll be horriblly under powered.

By the way do you receive topic reply notifications from the forum? Stacey didn't think he did, I wonder if its configured correctly, though I get them but that might be due to being an admin.

Cool 8)

I've got the setting disabled so I haven't been getting any. I can turn it on and see if I get any through?

Good game last night. I was surprised at how quickly Rich levelled up.

So was I so I looked it up, it has a level accelerator for Co-op when someone is behind.

Read the Eurogamer review it mentioned it in there, it also mentions of course that it ruins his singleplayer game and he'll be far too powerful for most of the early missions he hasn't done now.

Eurogamer wrote:
It's worth noting that playing a high-level game with a low-level chum as sidekick means that you power-level the low-level character. They will, of course, get hammered by the high-level enemies, no matter how much you tweak and add shield capacity to that newbie inventory, but it's a very speedy way to get someone to catch up, and to get their inventory full of new kit.

So he is best off playing single player with a new charactor and levelling that up correctly.

Not sure what Scotts issue with your voice initially but it was a pain that it took time to sort.

I felt last night we were quite strong, think I only died once, we were quite a powerful little unit.

I have no idea what happened with the voice last night. I also got kicked off PSN and couldn't reconnect when we quit the game. I ended up turning my wireless off and using my powerline, didn't have a problem after that.

I wonder if it was my router again, but then I shouldn't have been able to hear Sandy so clearly if that was the case. Glad it got sorted in the end.

I started afresh today with Brick to see what he's like. Superb with a shotgun but the berserk skill is crap and I'd much rather have my turret.

Brick sounded like it might be fun

Eurogamer wrote:
The one character who genuinely seems to play differently in an entertaining way is Brick, who can smack the living s*** out of anything with his berserk mode. Pump this up as you play and you end up with a close-range punch-monster, or a tank. Either makes for an entertaining mode of play.

Reckon the sound issue was probably just the game engine throwing a wobbly.

I'm up to level 10 now with Brick and loving it so far. The berserk action is great after being beefed up a bit. Surrounded by enemies and shield has just ran out, just rush in and smack the crap out of everything, screw tactics  .
